Belting

FHP BELT

The FHP belt range includes a complete selection of sizes and types for all fractional horsepower motors.

Features & Benefits:

  • Classical profile light duty V-belts for light machinery, home appliances, farm machinery, shop equipment, fans, blowers, etc.
  • Cooler running for longer life
  • Low vibration for minimal noise
  • Superior efficiency for improved performance
  • High tensile cord improves dimensional stability
  • Engineered rubber compound for maximum flex life
  • Moulded cogs improve flexibility and heat dissipation
  • Backing is oil, ozone and abrasion resistant for extended, hassle-free operation

GY METRIC BELT

The GY metric belt range operates under one of the widest temperature ranges in the industry - from -65°F to 180°F (-54°C to 82°C). This versatility ensures performance under the toughest conditions. The range includes a complete selection of sizes and types where universal metric profile and precision is called for.

Features & Benefits:

  • Strong, flexible and universal fit
  • Performance under the toughest conditions
  • Matching within ISO matching limits

Note: Drive conditions and service variables, in combination with time in operation, can result in a loss of static conductivity. It is recommended that a conductivity check be added to drive preventive maintenance programs where belt static conductivity is a requirement. *Temperature range is based upon test data from the manufacturer.

HEX BELT

The hex belt range is a double side classical cross section belt also known as a double V-belt. It is used on drives with one or more reverse bends where power must be transmitted to or from the belt in both standard and reversing positions.

Features & Benefits:

  • Rubber compound and envelope quality ensures performance and maximum service life
  • Maximum strength and minimum stretch whilst transmitting power from both sides of the belt

HY TTM PLUS

The traditional classical belt range is designed for operating at higher speeds over small diameter pulleys and short centre distances. These can also be used for multiple V-belt drives where high shock load and heavy duty loads are encountered.

Features & Benefits:

  • Cord tensile members control stretch, so that it is minimal, predictable and uniform
  • Heat and oil resistant rubber compound, impregnated envelope fabric provides positive traction, maximum flexibility and extended wear resistance
  • Belts of the same size meet RMA matching specifications, eliminating matching problems, improving performance and increasing service life

HY TTM WEDGE

The wedge-belt is a narrow cross-sectioned belt that distributes stresses more uniformly over tension members to deliver more consistent and reliable power transmission.

Features & Benefits:

  • Narrower cross section distributes stresses uniformly over tension members to deliver more consistent and reliable power transmission
  • Equal horsepower can be generated with smaller, lighter belts (compared to classical style belts)
  • The deeper wedge profile creates more contact with sheaves (compared to classical style belts) resulting in increased horsepower
  • Cord tension members provide strength and dimensional stability for performance
  • Fibre loaded, high-quality rubber compound reinforced cushion stock adds to belt strength

THE NEOTHANE BELT RANGE

The neothane belt range is a specialty belt for specific types of machines and equipment that require a light, abrasion resistant, smooth operating, smaller V-belt.

Features & Benefits:

  • Ribbed top for transverse rigidity, flexibility and cool running conditions
  • Narrow top width for use on narrow, small diameter sheaves
  • Cords are resistant to shrinkage or stretch, providing for greater strength
  • Specialised compounding for firmer grip
  • High resistance to oil, heat, abrasion, ozone and fatigue
  • Smooth machined sides for quiet running and vibration-free operation

OPEN-END V

The classical cross section belt lengths are ideal for problem applications and emergency belt replacements where drives are difficult to access or disassemble.

Features & Benefits:

  • Solution for applications where endless V-belts are difficult or impossible to install
  • Ideal for emergencies when endless belts are not readily available
  • For use in standard RMA sheaves
  • Not to exceed 3500 FPM
  • Not suitable as a permanent replacement if standard belts can be installed
  • Horsepower ratings are approximately 30% of standard belts

TORQUE FLEX

The flex torque belt range is a classic profile belt with fully moulded cogs, delivering increased HP over traditional classical belts. Designed for tough, small sheave diameter, high tension drives.

Features & Benefits:

  • Raw rubber contact edges ensure increased HP ratings
  • Cogs allow for greater flexibility and heat dissipation
  • High strength, high horsepower capacity means fewer belt sheave grooves to deliver the same amount of horsepower
